Will you be visiting this display at Disney’s Grand Floridian this holiday season? Last year’s gingerbread house had a color scheme to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will have a gingerbread display for the first time this year, either in place of or in addition to its usual train village. There will also be gingerbread displays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which have all had them in years past.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary, this gingerbread cookie ornament has Mickey and Minnie sharing a kiss under fireworks. The edge of the cookie is completely covered in anniversary sprinkles. A twist on an old favorite — this is a cream-filled gingerbread and latte whoopie pie with a “GF” Grand Floridian chocolate medallion on top. As you can see, no discounts will be applied for any of these treats. At one end of the display is an information board showing photos of how the house was constructed. The entrance to the house has two porches with gold railings and trim.

Throughout this holiday season, grab your loved ones and get ready to see some gingerbread! There’s truly no limit to the ways you can celebrate the holidays at Disney Parks. The gingerbread displays are not just found on land – they’re also taking to the high seas with the Disney Cruise Line fleet! Each festive creation is unique and the themes are up to the individual ship’s team to decide what theirs will look like this year. Physical distancing has now been gone for several months, and the edible creations are starting to return!

It wouldn’t be the holidays without fudge, and this one hits the spot. A generous bar of milk chocolate fudge with pecans and 50th Anniversary holiday sprinkles on top. As seen here, the house is transported to the Walt Disney World Tree Farm, where it provides some much-needed energy and food for already endangered honeybees. Reflecting the spirit of the 50th Anniversary, this gorgeous chocolate Santa Claus is sporting an ice blue Santa suit trimmed in white fur cuffs and hem.

The only caveat is that you have to get to Grand Floridian, and you can’t just show up in your car and say you want to see the gingerbread house. To park at Grand Floridian, you either need to be a guest of the hotel or have a reservation at one of its restaurants.

The Victorian gingerbread house features several porches decorated with snowmen, nutcrackers, more miniature Santa’s, and other festive figurines. It took 340 hours to build the property’s 2017 display, which featured a replica of D.C. Included were a 3.5-foot-tall Washington Monument, a reflecting pool, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the U.S. A few trees had already been placed on the house’s balcony. Red and silver decorations line the house’s rooves and windows.

There are 24 hidden Mickeys on the house, honoring 24 years of the display. The TV screen mounted on the back of the house displays the menu and photos of the available items. The shop is at the back of the house, with red rope creating the queue. The house is dusted with white sugar to make it look like snow has fallen on the roof. The gingerbread shingles and other edible pieces are stuck to a frame using icing. The house is located on the first floor of the resort lobby, directly across from the main entrance.
It’s a delicious, well-spiced cookie that is only made better by the bottom being dipped in chocolate.
