The original first floor front porch was replaced with a larger wrap-around porch. Both parents, whose identities have not been released, were hospitalized for burns, lacerations and smoke inhalation. The father is currently in a medically induced coma, while the mother was flown to the University of Chicago’s medical center for treatment of her injuries, the fire department said.
