Still, you'll find a lot of the classic Carnival "fun ship" attractions on these vessels including water play areas with waterslides, miniature golf courses and adults-only Serenity deck-top retreat areas. The main difference between Carnival Splendor and its Conquest-class cousins is that the former has an enlarged and redesigned top deck area. The structure around the main pool of the ship is noticeably different, with a retractable, sliding glass roof that you won't find on the Conquest-class ships, as well as a water play area for kids. Originally designed and ordered for Italy-based Costa Cruises — a sister brand to Carnival — the ship is actually a sister vessel to Costa's four Concordia-class ships. It will be familiar to anyone who knows Carnival ships because the design of Costa's Concordia class was based upon the design of Carnival's Conquest class, and the two classes are very similar.
Platinum: 75 – 199 Points
Whether you’re cruising as a single parent or times two with kids in tow, you’ll effortlessly pack in more fun activities and bonding time than you ever thought possible on vacation. No matter what age your kids, there’s plenty of onboard entertainment that lets your family interact with favorite childhood characters and games. On top of the Red and Blue Level benefits, you get a Gold Year pin presented on every cruise (how cool!?) and one complimentary drink on a 5+ day cruise. So, enjoy that extra latte or a refreshing beer at Redfrog Pub – Carnival’s got the tab.
Platinum Level VIFP
But Carnival's VIFP Club, as the line calls its loyalty program, does bring some valuable perks at its higher-level tiers, including priority access to many onboard venues and services. This onboard credit may be applied to any future cruise in accordance with the terms and conditions below. Milestone Rewards Program denotes a guest’s 25th, 50th 75th and 100th revenue cruise with Carnival.
If I have status and I'm cruising with my child(ren), will my status carry over?
Interestingly, these weren't always considered smaller vessels. In fact, when the line first unveiled Carnival Sunshine in 1996 (back when it was called Carnival Destiny), it was the biggest cruise ship in the world. In some recent years, Carnival has also deployed one of its Spirit-class ships across the Pacific to Australia — the most far-flung destination that it offers on its schedule.
Cruise line loyalty programs are typically about “what’s in it for me? ” but Diamond cruisers on Carnival can help others just by cruising. Carnival Platinum benefits include a special event invitation to the Platinum and Diamond VIFP Party on cruises of 5 days or more, offering complimentary drinks and appetizers. You can access your account information and profile once you’ve signed up for an account. You can also find out what benefits you’ll get based on how much you’ve cruised. Read on to learn about the different tiers of Carnival’s VIFP loyalty program and the benefits you get to enjoy with each tier.

Plus, you’ll love the priority boarding, check-in, and embarkation processes that make your cruise experience even more seamless. Guests will receive a color-coded Sail & Sign® card during each sailing which will identify their levels in the VIFP Club. It's recommended that all guests activate their VIFP Club membership at least eight weeks prior to their next sailing to ensure they're recognized as a member of their correct level. Platinums also get complimentary wash-and-fold laundry service (with a limit of two to five bags, depending on the length of the cruise). As is typical with cruise line loyalty programs, lower tiers don't bring all that much in terms of truly valuable benefits.

Carnival Cruise Card Colors Guide (Tiers and Perks EXPLAINED!)
Designed to take Carnival's "fun ship" shtick to a new level, the ships are so big that, as noted above, they have room for roller coasters on their top decks — a cruise industry first. They also have a far broader array of suites than earlier Carnival vessels. At Carnival, as at other lines, the biggest ships in the fleet have the most amenities, eateries, lounges, bars and deck-top attractions than the smaller ships.

PLAN FOR FUN
If you always book seven-night sailings, you'll reach the Gold tier after three cruises. That's right, while the Gold tier requires 25 points, you can reach it after sailing three seven-night cruises. You don't have to worry about different earning levels for different cabin categories or different types of bookings, as is the case with some lines. The Carnival VIFP Club loyalty program also is one where it is relatively easy to reach a high-level tier. But if you prefer longer cruises, or you start cruising with Carnival at a young age and shun other brands in favor of ships with whale tails, you may get past this level. So if you are on a Red level cruise and you pass 25 nights mid-way through, you’ll stay at the Red level until the end of that sailing.
These are also the ships that Carnival uses for winter sailings to the Caribbean from Baltimore, which can involve a day or two of cold and stormy sailing in the Atlantic. That's a noticeable difference if you're the kind of vacationer who doesn't like to be around giant crowds. For some Carnival fans, the smaller size of the Conquest class and Splendor class makes these ships appealing. Others prefer the added amenities that come with the bigger ships. Two of the three ships — Carnival Breeze and Carnival Dream — also have sushi eateries, while Carnival Breeze and Carnival Magic have Carnival's Caribbean-inspired watering hole, RedFrog Pub. Dream-class ships share some of the same amenities as Vista-class ships.
These ships also have a lot of new features and amenities (including the first-ever roller coaster on a cruise ship — and, no, we're not making that up). The benefits of the program, such as priority check-in and boarding, help to streamline the boarding process, reducing stress and allowing passengers to start enjoying their vacation sooner. The Carnival Cruise Loyalty Program plays a significant role in enhancing the cruise experience for passengers. Whether you’re a first-time cruiser or a seasoned Carnival enthusiast, the program offers something for everyone. Carnival Cruise Line's Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) Club is a five-tier cruise line loyalty program available to all passengers. The program is structured on a point system, in which members receive one VIFP point for each day cruised with Carnival.
Before you book your first Carnival cruise, visit the Carnival VIFP Club website and click the ‘Join’ button. Provide your email address and create a password, and you’re in.
During those hours, Camp Ocean transforms into a supervised slumber party-type environment with games, movies, crafts and snacks, along with late-night parties called Night Owls. Carnival Panorama also houses Carnival's first cooking classroom. On one of Carnival's newest ships, Carnival Panorama, there's no RedFrog Pub, but the Smokehouse Brewhouse has a stage that's home to live music nightly and some of the ship's karaoke sessions.
The ships in this class hold 3,646 to 3,690 passengers, based on double occupancy. The Carnival fleet is scheduled to grow over the next year with two more new vessels. As noted above, the line has ordered a third Excel-class ship (Carnival Jubilee) that will be ready to sail in December 2023. If cruising in a more intimate environment is your preference, you'll want to look at some of Carnival's older classes of ships including the Spirit and Fantasy classes.
As you move higher in the program’s ranks, your benefits and privileges will improve. The color of your Sail & Sign card will reflect the tier that you’re on. As you plan your next cruise adventure, keep in mind the Carnival Cruise Levels and the incredible benefits that await you. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a fun-filled getaway, Carnival Cruise Line has a level suited to your preferences and desires. Signing up for a Carnival website account allows you to access the line's full array of planning and booking tools.
